Teal mid century wine glasses - Scandinavian?
« on: August 20, 2018, 02:31:19 PM »
Hi, trying to ID these wine glasses.  Anyone have any ideas?  They are definitely quality.

5" (12.5 cm) high, 2 1/2" (6.2 cm) wide at rim

Coloured, stemmed glasses of similar design appear in Fire & Sea (Pina & Vigier) on pp 196 and 197, attributed to "Denby Milnor" with the origin described as "Sweden". However, there is no further information on the company at the rear of the book, so I don't know if DM were/are makers or retailers.

Thank you so much Helen!  I ran and grabbed my copy of the book but the stems are different I think.  The ones on P 197 taper up to a thicker stem at the top. The ones in the Pina book look like they have a thicker base to the cup as well.  The cup shape is the same though so I'll research Denby Milnor!  Thanks so much.

You're welcome.  :) I realise the stems are not an exact match, but hopefully someone else here can pin down the maker.
