Signed glass tankard with silver covered glass handle

Can anyone read the signature? I bought this as I was intrigued by the handle. The seller assured me was silver. I could see clearly glass that seems to have a coating of silver. I gave part of the handle a quick polish with silver cleaner to reveal the silver... it moved the oxidation to reveal a real silver like finish. I guess it is a thin metallic chemical dip to the glass. Any ideas?
