Topic: Mystery Glass Friggers?

I wonder if anyone has idea what these are? They measure 9 ½” inches long by ¾” inch, narrowing to ½” inch in the middle with rough broken pontils at the end. I purchased them a couple of years ago amongst a job lot of vintage art glass and after much frustration, eventually gave up trying to find anything similar and relegated them to the back of the UGO shelf. It has been suggested that they may be friggers, but of what? They are too fragile for drum sticks or pestles and why aren’t the ends finished off? Could they possibly be part of an elaborate chandelier? Any ideas would be most welcome.

Id say they were sugar crushers for (pre free flowing sugar)

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I have posted a photo of one of them alongside a standard swizzle stick and sugar crusher to give an idea of scale. Upon closer inspection, I suspect that they aren't very old, possibly 1980's. They are very difficult to display because they roll around and yet there is very little evidence of wear...I guess they shall remain a mystery.
