Murano Bowl - Please help identify this item
« on: November 26, 2018, 06:06:37 PM »
Hello,

I am new to Murano glass collecting and I have an opportunity to purchase this bowl.

What I know:

Label: "vetro eseguito secondo la tecnica dei maestri di murano  Made in Italy"  which I know roughly means "that is made in the style of the masters of Murano".

Size: Approx 15.5x15.5x6  Weighs 5.6lbs

Can you advise if you think this was actually made in Italy or a Chinese knock off? It is a beautiful piece and I want to make sure I am not getting ripped off.

Thank you!

It possibly was made in Italy, just not in Murano

Depends what it's worth and we don't need to know!
It seems to be well made but there are a lot of good murano knock off's around but this doesn't look like one of them. This is not one of the great labels (at least it has one and not some rip off signature) and the price should reflect that.
Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.
