Hello again fellow melted sand fans! I should probably mention that I already have the tray and ashtray from the set so looking for the large pot, the candlesticks and the elusive cigarette box! I would be willing to pay a premium for a complete set or any of the component pieces mentioned above.
I look forward to being bombarded with your offers! Peace.

Thank you that is stunning but I'm still gunning for the green! Are you aware if the blue will also glow under a UV source?
Surely someone is looking to downsize their collection by upsizing mine!!?? Any hints or leads would be appreciated...don't get a lot antique fairs here in the most isolated capital city in the world!
I thank you all again for your time and wish you all a merry Christmas

The blue ones don't contain uranium, they won't glow under UV light. You need the (very weak) radioactivity of uranium for that.

The only time the radiation would be dangerous is if some of the glass containing it actually got inside you. It stays in the glass, but if there was glass dust flying around (for example, from cutting or blasting or doing some sort of cold work on it) it could lodge in your lungs and then be a source of radiation inside you and you really don't want that.

Uranium isn't a terribly high energy source, a sheet of paper will stop it. You don't need lead lined containers.  ;D

Hi thanks for that i was not concerned about the uranium content or safety in handling or storage. The fluorescence under UV is not actually from the radioactivity but from the chemistry of uranium. Even depleted uranium will glow under blacklight.
These is some blue uranium or vaseline glass that does flouresce, hence my question re the blue Filey.

You'll find uranium in green, yellow, amber, pink and blue glass. Green and yellow are the most common.
Apologies for teaching my grandma to suck eggs,  ;D but lots of folk don't know, and can panic at the mere mention of radioactivity.
I, very happily, wear uranium glass beads.
