We're interested in finding out what things are too. That's exactly what this forum is for.

Is it a vase? A dish of some sort? Studio and art glass items don't actually have to be anything. They can be stand-alone sculptural things, but by the nature of glass-blowing, vessels of some sort are often what they are.

Clear glass
is a nightmare to photograph well. Changing the lighting angle can help.
Glass looks different whether back lit, front lit, top lit or lit from underneath. It's a three dimensional thing. Photos are flat.
