Large Grey Owl - any ideas? ID = FM Konstglas, Ronneby

I bought this large Grey Owl in with a load of Wedgwood weights - he is unsigned, and totally unlike any Wedgwood owls I have ever seen.  Nice quality though - any ideas on where he might be from, or if he is by a known maker? He stands about 4 ins 100 mm to the top of his ears.

I have a feeling I've seen this little chap before and I think he might be Scandi, but can't be more specific than that      Sorry!

Is the decoration made up of tiny bubbles?

If so, I wonder if it is any relation to this?
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,5997.0.html

Or could this be a common decoration inside glass and attributed to more than one maker?

Reminds me a bit of Ronneby Sweden. Could be wrong but worth a try. Terry

Tiger, the dark internal patterned section is covered with fine bubbles, which is creating the shaded grey effect (you can see the real colour of the dark glass in the centre of the base pic), then there are uneven lines of larger bubbles running up the valleys.  Uncontrolled bubbles rather than controlled bubbles I would say

So yes, it does have similarities to the swan.  The eyes and the ears have been created using pincers and presses to the original clear casing, rather than being separately applied, likewise the beak is pulled from the original glass not applied.

Terry, thanks for the Ronneby suggestion, I'll have a look into that.
Thank you very much!

Definately FM Konstglas, Ronneby, Sweden
You will find many with exactly the same decor in exactly the same color.
They are usually signed.

Addendum
I recently discovered that FM (Fratelli Marcolin) continued to make glass animals in exactly this style after they returned to Italy. These bear a "Marcolin, Italy" label. I don't know if they were signed or not, I suspect not, which could explain why yours isn't and exactly what it is.
