Probably not...but is this Whitefriars?
« on: January 27, 2019, 03:18:07 PM »
Good afternoon all.
This is what I take to be a bonbon dish (7.5" / 19cms diameter) with a light green tinge. The pattern/texture reminds me of some Whitefiars glass I have seen, but there are no markings to 'clue me in' and I failed to spot this design in the Whitefriars catalogues I have looked at.
Does anybody recognise?
Thank you.
Jack

It reminds me of the Uno Westerberg bowls for Pukeberg but the ones I've seen were more curved up like this:

Yes, I see what you mean Anne...is the base of yours similar to the one in my images?
The reason why I initially thought Whitefriars was because of the 'iceberg' like texture and the similar shapes I've seen in the catalogues.

I'm not sure as this isn't my bowl, it was an image I was sent for reference.  I've not handled one myself (yet!)

Hi Anne.
I've looked at a lot of Uno Westerberg images and I can quite clearly see the similarities you refer to. However, I have yet to find one with a similar base to mine. I shall keep looking  :)
