Karen Lawrence Iridescent Scent Bottle
« on: February 03, 2019, 07:33:52 PM »
Karen Lawrence isn't someone I'd heard of before and eventually deciphered the signature and date of 1986. Picked this up thinking it would be one of the more widely known UK glassmakers. This wee bottle measures 3ins tall and 2 1/2ins at its widest. On searching here earlier I found one previous mention of her. I see there was a connection with Peter Layton/ London Glassblowing and how there was a retrospective of her work in 2016.

I managed to miss this!
It's rather lovely. I particularly like the "harvest moon" blob, it gives it a real lift, turning it from a random pattern into something your imagination can run away with.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
