Topic: Rubbish or treasure

Typical me.  I cannot walk past something that 'feels" different.
I am sure its a single stem vase.
Its 21.5cm high.
The base is 5cm in diameter and 1.5cm thick.
Any suggestions appreciated.

No it's not. The pontil is the tool which then makes the pontil mark on the glass.  :tof: (closest thing I could find to a professor!). Sorry to be pedantic, but there are those among us that keep trying to teach us the proper lingo and I just wanted to prove that I had learnt something.  :24:

I'm not even sure it's a pontil mark. Is it possible to photograph it at a slight angle? Is there a polished circle inwards of any kind, or some sort of scar where it seems something has been broken off?

There are scratches where the base meets the body. They are a sweeping shape all in one direction.
There are rises in the base where it looks as if the body was squeezed in and it cause a few ripples on the base.
In one photo it looks as if there is a crack and there isnt.
And underneath it has a very slight dip and is very smooth.
