Millefiori Paperweight...Murano?
« on: February 22, 2019, 12:18:08 PM »
I came across this little beauty this morning, but have no idea who made it. My first guess would be Murano, but the base is unlike any other Murano paperweights that I have seen. Only the very centre of the base is flat and polished, whereas all the others that I have are completely flat... any ideas?

Thanks in advance Penny

Hi Penny,

Yes, Murano!
I've got one with the same setup and also wondered about the maker. Although dome-shape and
base look different as usual, the canes look like Fratelli Toso.
My guess is, it's somewhere 1990's.
...but I'm not an expert...

Yes Fratelly Toso. The "yellow-petalled flower cane" is known to be from that company.
