Hello dear viewers, I wonder if anyone can identify this wonderful paperweight and the charming lady within.
It's extremely smooth and tactile, it's about 3 and a half inches in diameter and about one and a half inches tall.
It has two rows of ten faceted sides and a polished concave bottom.

I believe these opaque white sort of "Wedgwood style" inclusions in pwts are called sulphides.
Sorry I can't help more than that. But it might be a word to use in a search for others and finding more information.

Hi Highlandmack,

The sulphides seen in paperweights (and general glass items such as decanters and drinking glasses) are not always of famous people. The terms "a lady" or "a gentleman" have been used for many years where an identfication of the person has not been found.

But, yes, tracking down the person can be of help if another item with the same suplhde can be found.
