I have just cleaned up my glasses - (they'd been used as candleholders, then as dust collectors) and I've taken pics, but I can't download or fix them for posting.
The pc died. Himself had to set up a new one. Himself isn't that good at this sort of thing, but not as bad as I am. I can't do anything with it. I've lost all the computery thingies like Paint shop pro that I am able to use a tiny bit;
I haven't a clue how to make or open any files or access anything and on top of it all - the new mouse has a serious dose of the skitters.

And I'm told I can't go to my old word files and copy and paste all the stuff I have typed out there into the new whatever-they-are ones.

How *^<>*£% stupid is that?  ???

Thanks Sue, I understand your frustration I take my pictures standing up but when I post them on here they fall over.
Any way I found some similar Czech pieces from Karl Palda. I know nothing of this type of glass so it’s all new to me. This eBay link shows some of a very similar shape. I also found some Josaf Hoffman pieces with similar octagonal vases like the desna green and frosted items. Thanks

Himself says it can be sorted. But he's away just now. I'll post pics eventually. They're in the camera.
I discovered on cleaning them, that one of them has extra feathers flying around added.
Not within any outlines. Whoever painted my birds put effort into it.

Would the painting have been done using a sort of cottage industry?

The shape of those glasses you find looks right. :)

Hi, I’ve now found lots of similar glasses by Karl Prada some have the same base but different bowls and different Art Deco paintings. None though of cockerels. I presume the actual glass pieces could have been sent out to all different places for painting?
Thanks
 Cheers Mike

Finished glasses being sent out for painting was exactly what I was thinking - I just called it "cottage industry".  :)
The styles of glasses are very different, but the painting is quite similar, as if it is a style all the different painters are expected to emulate.
