Josef Hoffmann - Moser (...?..)
« on: July 02, 2019, 04:11:17 PM »
This design is attributed to Josef Hoffmann for Moser (1930's.).
But I have the idea that this model was (copied?) Produced later by other factories (I think I remember ZBS ... among others).
I have this The quality is good but the color does not seem very Moser.
What can be?

I found this:

that feeds my suspicions but does not clarify them ...

Desna could still be making them, not sure where the attribution comes from with this example:

Thanks John.
I have searched for Desná. Today linked to the Preciosa / Ornela brands and with a history that goes back to the 19th century Riedel.
I see that they currently produce classic models of "Ingrid" Schlevogt /  Heninrich Hoffmann (1930's) and other classics of the 50-60's (Václav Plátek / Václav Hanuš ...).
But I have not found references to the model we are dealing with. We will have to keep looking.

Stunning colour of vase though.  That colour is quite special.  It might be a clue to the maker?
