Thanks m, the S&W's colour is a bit darker with 3 ribs mine has 5,  the Stuart pieces I have come with polished pontil marks so I'll ask around

I'm bemused about the lack of pontil mark if I'm honest Kev [ * ].  I'd have thought both S&W and Stuart would have a pontil mark.
So perhaps neither option are right for this vase?

[ * ]Mod: I have removed the post to which M was referring. The vases I have are not what I suggested they were! I am now embarrassed rather bemused.
