Believed to be vintage Czech glass - ID = ZBS
« on: July 23, 2019, 10:49:14 AM »
I would be very grateful for help to identify the designer and who produced the attached small vase.

I bought it as part of a bulk lot and this was the only interesting piece.

It is Alexandrite glass with a cut top, and heavy but not very big - 12.5 cm tall, 11.5 x 6 cm top, 7 x 4 cm base.

The seller assured me all the pieces were Czech but .......

Thank you.

Anne

Thank you for your reply.

I too had thought ZBS but then I thought no, not with a cut top, but your reply prompted me to search ZBS further and I have found it.

It was designed by Antonin Drobnik for ZBS, before 1962. The design was well thought of and appeared in the GlassRevue in 1962.

How wonderful.

Thank you.
