Opalescent water jug..... ID = Mosser Eye Winker pattern
bat20:
Hi,my gut feeing is this piece is French and possibly early 20th century?I think it works really well with the white opal to blue tinge as it move down the form and cooling !!,anybody recognise the patterns, thanks.
Mosquito:
I'd be thinking USA rather than France for this one. Looks like a version of the 'eye winker' pattern. Don't know how old your piece is: I believe L.G Wright produced a version mid-century and Mosser have made similar style stuff more recently (there are probably other potential makers too).

Ahhh!,yes I think I've come across that before some time ago thanks!i'll look in that direction.I should add it's heavy and the relief is quite deep.

I was about to come on and say what about American because a jug came up quite unexpectedly when I was searching for something else today. My laptop crashed though and the only word I can remember was Westmoreland (?) But I don't think that was the original link to the jug I saw. The one I saw was a pinky opalescent as well, but it really reminded me of yours.
oH Mosser as Steven said also came up but again not the original maker linked to it. Really sorry but I cannot remember what it said. I don't think it was LG Wright though. Wracking my brains to see if it pops up.
