huge signed China man figure

the piece is 44 cm high with 9 cm base and weighs more than 10 lbs (5 kg)

it was signed in 1987 by Vetrardi ??? I cannot figure out exact name

I read somewhere that when this figure was purchased new, it was a considerable amount of money

How about Vetri arti.......which translates from Italian as glass arts.  Possibly a Seguso piece.
