« on: August 09, 2019, 01:25:38 PM »
Hi.
Does anyone recognise the mark on this piece. Its very Scandinavian to my eye but I cannot figure out the makers mark,
Measures 11” long 7” wide and just over 2”h.
I think I’m having brain freeze I know I should know.

Hi FB.  I got nowhere with the signature either.  However, the shape of the piece reminded me of my raku ikebana vase, so I had a google for "ikebana glass" and found what I think is the same as yours but in orange.  I thought it might lead me to a maker, but turned out to be on something called webinstagram...... which for me is just another level of Internet hell (much like Pinterest, and any other site that lures you in by showing you a picture of the thing you want, and then leaves you scratching your head trying to figure out either where it went or how to access the link).  Anyway, I think I figured out a way to get the Google link onto here, and maybe you'll be able to find the piece in the Google pic and see if it leads anywhere useful.

I tried UFO, space age, and eye, before ikebana.  It might help if we could figure out if it has a specific purpose.......would a tea light fit in it? Or a candle?  Cigarette holder and ashtray?  Bit big for an egg cup and stand.....but lots of room for the soldiers!
