ID Help: Large green vase with lumpy texture
« on: August 08, 2019, 04:25:56 PM »
I was given this bowl because the previous owner failed to identify it (and therefore couldn't sell it at auction). But I'm at a loss too.
Its sage green and has a fully polished base (like Murano). It's made very thick (1 - 2cm) crystal. It has an erratic pattern of lumps on the outside.
It's HUGE... measuring 26 cm diameter and 20 cm tall. No surprise then that it weighs over 7,5kg!!
It sort of reminds me of some Flavio Poli designs, but I only saw them in books...and I don't think this is a very Murano colour...Surely it's not a shop product, given the weight?!
Needless to say there are no marks.

Any suggestions welcome!

I have/had a smaller version of this, very heavy, in a pale citrine colour.
At least iirc it was the same. A sort of random squiggle pattern.
I never found out where it was from.
I'll have a quick look to see whether I put it here.
