Floating snow-woman in a bikini
« on: August 26, 2019, 11:51:26 AM »
Just love this snow-woman in a bikini floating on a rubber ring or a lilo and can't help smiling every time I look at her face  :) (10cm long, 50g).
Any ideas where she came from please?

Thanks for your replies ;)
The hook is plastic and looks like the flamingo hook.
This hippo bauble is a similar novelty tongue in cheek one http://www.fascia-lift.co.uk/baubles/floating-pig-in-a-rubber-ring-glass-christmas-tree-bauble-novelty-decoration-b077b62qcy.html  but it doesn't say who actually made it or where it came from, like most of the ones currently available, unless they are Lauscha, Sikora or "handcrafted in Poland".  I suppose it could have even come from China?

It doesn't really matter if I never find out where she paddled from, she's getting pride of place on my tree at Christmas ;D

She's a definite 'pride of place' tree dec!
I love her  8)  (huge fan of Christmas tree decs here - long time collector)

I wonder that if she were from Lauscha then she would not have a plastic hook to be honest.

I think she looks as though she's from the same 'series' as the flamingo. Same hook same glittery eye surround etc.

;D ;D ;D  Love them.  Even better if they were made from white milk chocolate.

The better made baubles do all seem to have metal fittings.  Mine has just been glued on in the middle.  But most figures have the hole at the top with the metal fitting attached/inserted so that the figure hangs correctly.  The hole on mine is on the underneath.  If the hole was on her head then she wouldn't hang right.  It would look like she was drowning. ;D
