Hello Cat, the piece is known as an 'orb vase' in 'dusk blue' and from the 'Creations' range, the date is either very late 80s more likely 1990s, comes in three sizes and most colours including black, only ever seen one of these....

Thanks, the plain 'Royal Brierley' mark does turn up on the studio range occasionally, don't know why though
