Topic: Glass vase with inward spikes!

Hi there! I'm new so please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong I have a small round glass vessel or vase with a short neck and "frilly" top. There are inward facing spikes of glass around the body of the vase, where it looks like the glass was pushed inward with a spike whilst still molten. Just wondering if this had a purpose or was purely for decoration? Also any idea of age, please? The glass is very thin. It looks hand made as the "frilly" top is uneven. I have tried posting photos but the file size is too big so I will investigate how to make them smaller.

Hello and welcome.  I use irfan view, which you can download for free, and it's very easy to use to edit and/or resize photographs.  There is a lot of info on the board to help with posting pictures, but you can get more help here if you need it.

Thank you for the pictures.  There are quite a lot of small lightweight, borosilicate glass pieces coming from China.  It would help to see your piece photographed against a plain white background, without a hand in the shot.
