I would like to answer to "blueoctopus",... I know I found some information on web glass site about Dino Martens very funny and not true .
But I believe to a real Murano Italian old glass man born in 1929 (che ha conosciuto direttamente di persona Dino Martens) [Mod: English - who met Dino Martens directly in person] so for direct knowing : Dino Martens started to work in SALIR (ditta di Murano che realizzava incisioni su vetro) [Mod: - English: Murano company that made glass engravings] after about 1935 he was use to work in AVEM until the war 1939.
After he worked for Aureliano Toso ( but was really friends of Ferro brothers so always keep with them a sort of collaboration ).  Bizantino glass vase etc are made in AVEM furnace  ;D    (sorry for the strange english )

Silver Stain,  I would be very grateful to know whether you might have any thoughts on my lamp base linked to in this thread here please,if you have time to look? It has a label on the base but it isn't the same as the AVEM label. I had hoped :)

Ciao e grazie

I've added two more photos here.  I am not sure they help but I do think the leaf is gold.

Any assistance is gratefully received. :)
