yes but it looks familiar :) S&W or Nazeing?
That shape is familiar for some reason  :-\

I can't see the shape on the Biot site however their shapes may have changed over time. They probably have.

I'll put head on block and say Nazeing never made this shape, and the colourway and swirl is wrong for them anyway.
This one looks crude and nowhere near the quality of S. & W.

I'm tempted to agree with the suggestion of Chinese Clutha. ;)

Did the Egyptians make this shape - in an historic sense I mean - burial urns?              How about Egyptian or Turkish?

May be you will send me now to be burned like a which, but my first idea was recycling glass, because of alle the bubbles and the shape as well. All the company’s you mentioned I don‘t know, so I don‘t even have a clou, but the glass seems quite thick to me, another index for reycecling.......May be

But who cares if he likes it.

You and Sue may be right.  Perhaps that's where I've seen the shape before on recycled glass with a ship engraved on it maybe?

Thanks for the input everyone,in the initial post I did mention the extreme wear, maybe too much?.That's the only thing that made me question my first thoughts.Ithinks it's a nice piece and well made and have a few weeks left before I give it away to someone with the perfect place for it.

oh, I can see the wear ring now.  I  am not sure that is  recycled.  That shape feels right for 30s or 40s but I've had a quick scroll through any thoughts of makers and cannot find a shape match but that shape just seems so familiar.

I am back to thinking it could be an older piece.

Is it heavy?

I don't think the bubbles are right for Biot. Their bubbles are more varied in size and they tend to contain elongated bubbles, especially in larger items. I have a tall stoppered bottle here to compare.  :)

Like Monika, I also considered (Spanish or Mexican) recycled, but I have not seen green glass from them.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
