Hi there

Back from the charity shop again!

What on earth is this?  Its clear glass with a textured bottom (like WF bark). length 19.5cm, depth 7.5cm and height 3cm.  It has a large oval indentation and a longer, shallower one extending from it.  It's the wrong shape to be an ashtray, my first thought and is flipping heavy.

Does anyone know anything else about it?  Make? Country? Date? You know, the usual things!  I long for the day when I can identify and not just pick your brains.
