It's not a mark I'm familar with, but I'd need to see the piece to know whether or not it is Phoenician. It does look as if it could well be from the little I can see.  :)
But I wouldn't rule it out. It doesn't look like somebody added it later - and why would they?
Phoenician Glass is not really something folk would be trying to fake.

It's very dense and you can't easily see through it, thanks for looking

 :)
That's definitely Phoenician and is the pattern I suspected. There's nothing wrong with the mark. Many of them are "hand-written in italics" - although I don't suppose these round, slightly child-like letters can be described as truly italic.  ;D

Thanks, really helpful, what's the pattern please? I am trying to learn patterns of different makers, is there a website for Phoenician ones?

I don't know, and no.  ::)  :(
I'd like this information very much indeed too. ;)
I think there used to be a site which illustrated a few patterns, but it died.

Yeah would be good. How much do you think it is worth? Phoenician doesn't seem to be as popular as mdina and Gozo less than Phoenician - would you agree?

We do not tend to discuss values here, they're far too contentious and not about the glass, which is what we are interested in.
Something is worth what somebody is willing to pay for it, in that place, at that time. You can obtain a ball-park figure by searching sold auctions for similar.
Personally I feel Phoenician is underrated. It is very good quality, a lot of it much better than Gozo, which I find lumpy and a bit crude.
