Wondered if people think this might be an early piece of glass
it is quite a large piece maybe for wine or water  standing 12" tall
Base has a high kick up and lots of wear although my pictures don't
seem to show that very well, The color is like bottle glass for cod
bottles and that sort of thing any ideas on date or where it would
be made i did think America maybe a possibility also??The pontil scar
is sharp and some sand or red bits not much stuck in there too...:)

Although the quality and color of the glass could pass for 19th c. American bottle glass the form is not American. Although the handle with a medial rib is a known, it is always done the old way with bottom crimping and curl. For some reason it seems more Mediterranean in style to me.
