Hi everybody,
I have bought 2 very beautiful decanters last week, and finally received them yesterday.
I have a couple of questions about the value and the glass itself...
______________
To my knowledge, these decanters were made in Bohemia, in the second half (or late) 19th Century.
Approximately around 1880. They were made for the Persian/Islamic market.
I know it's quite rare to find a pair. I believe mine indeed àre a pair. The paintwork matches, and also the "cut-work"
(is that a word?

) is exactly the same, and decorated the same way. The only difference is that one of the "caps" is a
cm larger.
Height: 52 cm / 20,47 inch.

VALUEI'm wondering about the value of these decanters. I have found a couple of examples on Christies and LiveAuctioneers.
See the links below. They are all sold between $ 3000 - $ 5000.

Then there are 2 sets of overlay decanters, of which one is bejwelled.
Suddenly these are + $ 15.000. Do these prices make sense?

I'm just wondering what the value would be these days.
I'm thinking about offering them for arround $ 3600.
Would that be realistic?
Thank you very much in advance!!
Kind regards,
