Pink Flower Paperweight ID
« on: January 31, 2020, 06:50:27 PM »
Hi,

I got this large pink flower on latticino weight today, it looks like it has some age and the metal is grey / dark. I thought Strathearn at first but it doesn't seem to be by them.  It's 9 cm / 3.5 inches in diameter and has a small concave polished pontil mark.

Any info would be great.

Adam

A long shot might be Gino Seguso, most are signed but have seen a few that were not. Can't find this style though...

Thanks for the info I'll have a look and see if I can find anything similar, is his surname anything to do with the Murano glass company?

Would assume so, guessing a son or grandson of Archimede Seguso. The family has been one of the leading glassmaking families in Venice for over 600 years.
