Hi All, I’m new here. I need help identifying this paperweight. I haven’t been able to find anything online. It seems too nice to be a cheap mass produced item. It is approx 3 inch diameter. Any ideas?

Never mind. I’ve been looking for information for about a week and the day I post this asking for help I actually find an exact example online. It’s just Murano. Here’s the link if anybody is interested.

Selling sites are not the best place for IDs and I don't think that's Murano (and most Murano paperwights are actually relatively mass produced). I wonder if its Czech, or Indian or even Chinese. Am I correct in thinking the base is not polished and shiny.

You are correct. The base is not polished and shiny. I would agree with you that selling sites are not a great source for IDs but if they have one that is exactly the same as mine then I thought that it is most likely a mass produced piece.

Hello and welcome.  If you haven't come across it already, you might find the link below interesting.  Chinese made Murano paperweights.  There is some really nice glass coming out of China, but it can make if difficult if you are hoping to collect something actually made in Italy.
