Glass Mark (for the records)
« on: March 03, 2020, 08:56:32 AM »
Not sure if you have a section for marks but i thought I woudl send this along for your records.
Having been a collector of Derbyshires Victorian pressed glass i was always aware of a London maker whos trademark bore similarieties
to Derbyshire 'JD Anchor' mark.  As I recently discovered a beautifully made condiment bottle with the mark etched on the base I thought I woudl pass it on.
The company is A Ruch & Co of London whose mark was registered in 1886, they are listed as glass bottle manufacturers, a title which doesnt seem to do justice to the quality of the condiment bottle I discovered.
You may already have the mark in yoru archives but I thought Id send it just in case
