Riihimäen Vase "Rulla" (roll) Desing Nr. 1319
« on: April 28, 2020, 02:13:20 PM »
Since this seems to be a lesser known design:

First of all: I don't own any books. Everything written here was either found online or taken from my example:

Name: Rulla (Roll)
Design-Nr: 1319
Designer: Tamara Aladin
Colours: amber, smoky blue,

The sizes seem to vary quite a bit.
Designlasi mentions three sizes but there are many different hights mentioned on laatutavara.

The dimension of mine are:
Height: 238mm
Diameter: base: 115mm / top: 94mm
Weight: 1084g (taken from mine)
The other examples I found online are smaller so I assume that this is the tallest version.

From what I can find on some of the sites that sold examples of this vase, production seems to have been 1972-1976

Most of the vase is coloured glass, the base is clear.
It's aptly named as the top is nicely rolled inwards a little.
There are no signatures or markings on my vase but it has a Riihimäen label.

Any additions / corrections are always welcome.
It's a nice piece :)

;D Thank-you. It's very good to have this unusual design so well illustrated here.
I don't think any of us can fault your research and descriptions. :)
