Libochovice 2060 - 2064 Label.
« on: April 01, 2020, 07:16:38 AM »
Could this label help identify any "Mysteries" with similar as Libochovice?

Although it's a bit the worse for wear it says "Imperial De LUXE Made (in) Czech(oslovakia)"

Possibly, or it could be an importers label, so could refer to any glassworks whoever used it bought from. It's not a label I've seen before though, and we don't have it in the Czech labels album either. Googling for "Imperial de Luxe" doesn't find any other glass examples.  :'(

I thought you might say something like that, or even that it had nothing to do with the candlestick and had been stuck on later for effect. :).

Does anyone use or update the labels gallery these days?  I ask because I also have a nice triangular Czech label in good, clear condition with "ME" on it.  It's on a bud trough, not a trinket set and I didn't see that in the gallery either.

Yes I still update the labels when I see new ones, or you can sign up there yourself if you like and add them directly. (I run the GlassGallery so can activate you if you want to sign up.)

Thank you but I don't think I want to sign-up.  I've only ever come across two pieces of glass with labels that I thought might be authentic, I would almost certainly have forgotten my pass-word before I find another one.

I've attached a picture of the label and one of the trough.  I'm pretty sure I was told it was Stolzle when I bought it but have never verified that.  Others who know Czech glass better than I do may or may not agree with the attribution.

The photo has come out with the legend and border looking as though they are black, probably due to the flash.  They are in fact silver foil.
