Looking for information on bowl with green ribbon & leafs
« on: April 19, 2020, 11:55:44 AM »
I found this bowl on a flea market a little while ago but unfortunately the seller couldn't tell me much. He thought it's old and probably made in Germany.

Meassurements:
Hight: 89mm
Diameter: 144mm
Weight: 697g
Width of the rim: 4mm

The green ribbon cannot be felt at the top, where it connects with the leaf but it starts to "come out" of the clear glass approx. halfway through the first turn and sits atop the clear glass until the end.

It has a rough pontil, a few air bubbles and no markings.
It must have been clear at one point but has now a milky look to it due to glasscorrosion.

Any information or pointers where I could look further would be higly appreciated :)
Thank you

Almost certainly Bohemian/Czech from 1900-1920. Most likely Kralik but could be Rindskopf or another maker. Very difficult to identify exactly. Try the madforglass.com or 20th.centuryglass.com to start with. You may not find one exactly the same as a lot of these pieces were one-offs.
