back  -  now for the beer and cheese biscuits ;)              commiserations - I don't own a smart phone so bit of an ignoramus in that department, but does appear you have a problem since full size pix can't be posted to the Board directly, and you're stuck unless Anne continues to offer help.
Assume your pc not working adequately such that you might download IrfanView which is a freebie programme designed especially for re-sizing pix.
Anyway, wait to see your 'different' glass - some time.

Hi Martyn. You can resize your pictures on your mobile phone easily using a free photo editing app. I use Photoshop Express for my images.

You need to change the save option settings in your preferences or settings. I have mine set at high quality JPEG and 625 px and it generally produces reasonable images that meet the size requirements for uploads.

Once they're set, just open an image in the app and make an edit (such as a crop or altering exposure) and when you close it, it prompts you to save the edited image which it will do at a size suitable for this page
