Blue Glass Goblets
« on: June 26, 2020, 03:10:39 PM »
Hi

I have come across this forum today and am really hoping someone will be able to help me.

Last week I picked up these 2 blue glass goblets. Well, I call them goblets, they could be something else. They have an etched signature on the bottom that I just cannot decipher, nor can anyone else I have asked. I have tried Google image search, eBay, etsy and a Facebook group but to no avail.

The goblets are rather heavy, they differ slightly and have no other markings that I can see.

They measure approximately 21cm high x 10cm in diameter.

I think the first name begins with an A and possibly has two L's in it but that is all I can work out.

Any help would be most appreciated, thank you.

Faye

Hi, welcome to the board. It’s not that easy to tell from your photograph of the signature but think it could be Anthony Stern. Here is a candle stick with similar stem: https://www.lskauctioncentre.co.uk/auction/lot/2-An-Anthony-Stern-opalescent-glass-candlestick-of-/?lot=349698
