Victorian uranium wine glasses
« on: June 28, 2020, 01:14:21 PM »
Very pleased to buy these this morning. They have ground pontils, a fruit/pinecone etched design, and cut stems and bowls. Probably late Victorian but may be earlier and have only one small chip between them.

Nice, I think I'd go with early 20 rather than Victorian

Thanks Christine. They may well be Edwardian but from the etched design, the cut underneath the bowl and the fact they have lots of coloured seeds inclines me toward Victorian. Unusually the inner rings visible on the feet are the pontils which are quite large and deeply cut.

Here's a photo to show the cut bowl and pontil.
