--- Quote ---Yeah, I paid a bit more than I thought, but less than it could have been. Er...if you know what I mean.

I do :D  But I think that was a good price for a 7" 'Escher'. Often see the commoner 4" ones go for around that price 8) Well done.

I see the 'Waterford' Handkerchief vase has been listed again with a £50 price tag. Ooooh, shall I...?

Thank you  :D  I've got two sizes of Escher now. <slightly smug>      :D

The woman selling the 'Waterford' hanky vase is very deluded.  In fact, I'd say she's deliberately deluded, as it doesn't take much research to find out what she's really got there.    :x

Anne E.B.:
I note they've still got the Rating score for condition    May be it should read the following instead

(G) Galling
(F) Fallacious
(E) Embarrassing
(M/N) Moderately Naff
(M) Mendacious

But hey!  it has been reduced    What do you want for goodness sake

David E:
Hi Anne, as I said, there's no rush, but it'll be great to see it

7405149214: a 4" blue Escher that reached £31.05. Max, that's slightly more than I'd expect and further convincing me that 7" was a great buy :D

David E:

--- Quote from: "Max" ---I've never seen that preserve container David...well done!  Totally different from anything I've seen before.
--- End quote ---

Yes, cool container — very pleased! I'd heard of them before but had never seen one and the guy I'm helping out with his collection just thrust it at me this afternoon (Oh, by the way...)! I also first thought the lid wasn't correct as it did look rather odd, but I now think it's right.

--- Quote ---Escher vase arrived in perfect condition, I'll get a pic soon off to you.  I think you've got one though?  It's 10" across the top!     Another hanky dust collector.  :x
--- End quote ---

Oh, just turn it upside down: that'll stop it :D Glad it arrived OK though - sometimes the boxes have to be excessively large to contain the darned things...

I got a 4" blue Escher for £9.99 this evening but it does have a "slight chip": oh well, good enough for photographing.

Anne:
Incidentally, whilst wandering around GB Antiques on Monday with Ray & Peter, I spotted only two handkerchiefs - both small 4 or 5 inches (I forgot to take the tape measure*) priced £8/£9, one a blue/white stripe, the other a yellow/white broad stripe. I did not succumb!!!  :P

* I also forgot to take the magnifier which would have been useful, but I did take the UV penlight which one of the stall holders took a shine to!  One out of three... must try harder!!!
