Topic: PY forgeries - Lot 410 at Hansons auctions - 29 August 2020

Hi there,

Just a quick warning that Hansons auctions has listed two PY forgeries in their auction of this coming Saturday (lot 410). I have emailed them already. I am fairly sure they suspect this as the listing specifies 'attributed to Paul Ysart'.

Anyway, I wanted to post this info here just in case...

The photo in their catalogue may not even show all the items in the lot - looks like there is a fifth weight just creeping into shot at the bottom of the image. Given viewing is online only that is very poor.

Yes I saw that too, also emailed them with a link to the Ysartglasscom page showing the fakes and suggested they either list them as fakes or withdraw them, nothing changed so far I see.

Hi,

I had also added a link to Kevin H's article: 'Identifying Paul Ysart paperweights' to back up the ID in my message to Hansons. And yes, no change to the listing so far...

Well they did finally change the listing to "in the style of Paul Ysart"
