Stuart crystal pattern help please.
« on: September 14, 2020, 11:31:57 AM »
Hello folks,
Do any of the members out there know what this Stuart design is please? The clear sticker has the design in the corners...a sort of coiled design, I think it was probably made as a commemorative range but I am not sure. The design encircles the vase with the vase being a ball/globe shape. Thank you for any help.

The label indicates it was made since c.1980.

The design looks like stylised roses.

Hello, yes, I immediately thought that they look like modern.stylised roses...exactly my thoughts. On looking closer they are actually a continual line spiralling inwards on a frosted square. There must be some significance re the design as it repeated on the Stuart sticker. I cannot find any reference on the internet and have put so many different keywords but nothing. It's driving me up the wall.

The shapes on the sticker look more like Mackintosh-y art deco roses.
Which might be a clue to a name?

Thanks Chopin Sue; well, I immediately went to Google and entered Mackintosh and other words etc but nothing. I've trawled replacements.com but nothing there plus another couple of sites that specialise in crystal but can't find anything. I guess this will be another blank being drawn. Hey-ho.

Thank you Ross,
I've sent a request to join so will wait to see if they accept me. Interesting to note the name of the person who spearheads the group!
