Uranium Glass Dalmatian
« on: September 16, 2020, 06:35:00 PM »
I've had this for a while and thought I'd enter it in the dog show. I assume it's a Murano uranium glass Dalmatian. It stands about 5cms. tall.

Could it be Pirelli?
They did use uranium. I have a peacock with uranium in its tail.
Beautifully modelled beast. It would fit right in with the other 100 or so. ;)

Maybe one day Sue  ;). I haven't looked into it a lot but Pirelli looks to be a good bet.

He's lampwork but his eyes don't say Pirelli to me. Lampwork and uranium is not uncommon (I have three pieces), so I doubt you'll find a maker

Opalescent uranium?  Maybe Bohemian ?  Jaroslav Brychta maybe or was that different type of stuff?
The eyes are not dissimilar to this example being sold as Brychta

I've looked through the only two catalogues I know about and it's not there - or at least I couldn't spot it (Brychta) Sorry.
