If it AIn't - it Ain't

Since my last great A.S. find, https://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,69670.0.html
I got a bit excited and bought this piece. On arrival it is OK but it sure ain't Seguso and certainly not Archimede Seguso.

Not sure who made it and it is OK as an ornament but it will go if my ex partner doesn't want it as a Christmas gift!
There are pinch marks at the ends of the bowl that would not be there with any good maker, there is an inconsistency in the looped edges that I should have picked up from the photo's but all in all, not badly made and I didn't spend a lot of money on it.

chopin-liszt:
But, as always with glass, it is what it is.  ;)
A very nice, decorative and fairly competent bowl.

ardy:
True Sue but I must do better than this. My ex is picking up a whole lot of 2nd rate glass that she likes, still there must be a limit!

chopin-liszt:
Study the photographs several times over, is all I can suggest.

Peering at the bowl carefully, I can see that the pillowy effects on the rim are a bit crude.
But that could have been an artifact of the light.

It's strange how one stunning success can lead you to hope for another... when the odds are completely against you.
I find I always automatically look at the same spot as I found a treasure in before, hope surging in my heart.  ::)

ardy:
Sue there is a Chinese saying that refers to this madness:  'It's like a dog returning to a post a hare brained itself on expecting to get another one'
