Green and blue Vase - ID = Mtarfa
« on: January 06, 2021, 05:44:49 PM »
Hi,
I bought this Vase today in Switzerland in a thrift store and I am trying to identify it. I cannot read the scratched name. Thank you for any input.

Height: about 18 cm
Weight: 1282 gramm
Diameter: about 7 cm

Hello and welcome!  :)
I'm not surprised you can't read it - nobody can read it.
It says Mtarfa. Maltese glass.
There is another version of the mark - equally unreadable.
But I know the glass, I have a similar piece. :)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Hi,
thank you for the fast reply! Mtarfa from Malta! I read something like nula. With your information I can now try to find out how old the vase is.

'84-ish on. Yours might be a little later because it has the newer (unreadable) mark.
