Hi there,

This is my first post, so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong neighbourhood.

Recently, I purchased a piece of glassware online which had originally been bought at auction in London, UK. It’s a large, heavy, frosted, dark green sphere vase.

There is a signature on the polished base, which is fairly difficult to decipher: it could be ‘L + Z, 2003’, ‘f + z 2003, ‘l + v 2003’, or ‘f + z 2003; additionally, there are 2 small digits above the l or f, which could be ‘80’, ‘30’, or ‘BO’.

After many hours of research online, endless reverse google image searches, and consultation of contemporary glass maker lists and signature, the only possible contenders are an Israeli glassmaking duo: Maaya Feigin and Boris Shpeizman and a Czech glass maker named Zdenêk Lhotsky, although neither have a piece resembling mine, so I’m at at a loss.

Any help from anyone in identifying the maker/ signature would be most grateful; attached photos below.

Kind Regards and Many Thanks,

Salix.
