I had an email about this, billed as a real alternative to ebay. Does anyone have any experience of this or views?

I posted this thread in the Cafe, but as I know there are a number of serious PW people who only come to the paperweight forum, I thought it would be worthwhile mentioning it here as well.

What I find particularly interesting is that the paperweight section is moderated by Sweetbriar Gallery.

Before anyone points out that it may not be ideal to have an auction moderated by a dealer, I should like to state that it is far better to have a  respected dealer as moderator than no moderator at all. I think that this can only be a positive step for what has recently become a somewhat murky market, owing to mis-descriptions and I would urge everyone to give this site a try. It has many appealing aspects, not least the simple fee structure.

Leni:
Sounds good to me!  I'd value Ray's ID's of paperweights as much as anyone's!   :D

Frank:
I do list there but it is a bit slow. The eBay effect. Nice thing is you can set the auctions to run for 20 repeats automatically. (Is that good?) Listing is free too.

josordoni:
Are you getting any sales through there at all, Frank?

Frank:
Not yet, but it is obscure stuff I am listing that is slow on eBay too.
