Just for interest, I personally bought my first ever paperweight, probably early 2000’s a teardrop ring pink weight, I purchased from the huge factory shop they had then, now a marks and Spencer’s I thing, it was in a cabinet of seconds, although don’t think that was the term they used then, it has no etching or engraved marks on it at all, as indeed does another Caithness weight I bought from the Caithness shop at Crieff, about 2009 and that too has no markings on it, also a third from Crieff flat bottomed no markings

More recently, they have been using sticky labels rather than marking the weights.
Marking glass is extra hand work and requires special tools and equipment. I suspect only Ltd. Edns. will be marked now.
The centre in Crieff is wonderful to visit. I miss it.  :'(
