ID help please, "squat" red vase 60s/70s?
« on: September 20, 2021, 07:56:36 PM »
Hi All,

Despite being a keen collector of Riihimaki for some years, I couldn't resist buying this vase at a fair. I hadn't seen anything similar before or since. Sadly neither the selling dealer or myself have been able to identify a maker. The style suggests 70s to me and there is some wear in evidence on the base. It weighs in at 1.6kg. I have included side, overhead and base shots which give an overview. Height in total is approx 5.5 inches with a diameter of approx 10.5 inches. Light isn't great in the images but the vase is a ruby red. Any possible thoughts on the maker would be appreciated, many thanks, Mark
