Hello everyone!

I bought this piece in a second hand shop in Sweden last week.  From looking online, I see that this piece is similar to bowls and vases designed by Vicke Lindstrand in the 50s at Kosta but I haven't found a item the same shape as my piece.  My piece has boats and shields drawn in the same way as Lindstrand's pieces.  On my piece, some of the stick figures have hands and are carrying weapons. I haven't seen an identified piece with hands yet but wonder if this is a progression of the style perhaps?

I cannot find a signature or code on the item.

The piece is very heavy. I don't have it to hand but it is about 11 inches by 6 inches.

If it's not a Lindstrand piece, does anyone have any idea what it might be instead?

Also - what is it meant to be? An ashtray? A dish? Any ideas?

Thanks very much for your help, everyone. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Katie
