But even going with the majority now and taking this as a 17, then have to say I don't see the second digit as having been produced by someone this side of the Channel - it just has a very un-English appearance for a seven. But who knows.

Nonetheless 17 is a fairly high matching No. - the vast majority I see are single digits.
